Each lesson may include an understanding of basic technique and/or music theory to help all students learn the fundamentals of music, while presenting these concepts in a fun way that has relevance to the music that interests every student. Our teachers will help their students to find success through practicing - the key to succeeding in music - while focusing on how to properly practice so that the task continues to be a rewarding process! Our philosophy is to center lessons around music that the student enjoys, helping them to play songs that they already know and love, to make it that much more exciting when it all comes together. If a student loves Bach, The Beatles, or Taylor Swift (or all 3), they can look forward to their teacher implementing some of this music in their lesson in a level appropriate way. Advanced musicians can find teachers to help them refine their skill, prepare for college or an audition, or continue to explore new approaches to playing, practicing and performing music. Beginner, intermediate and advanced students will be carefully matched with a teacher to help them continue their musical goals.
