About Me
Steven Heitlinger is a graduate of Temple University, and also holds degrees from the University of Maryland and Arizona State University. Steven is a member of the Allentown Symphony, and also performs regularly with the Delaware, Reading, and Lancaster Symphonies, as well as Opera Philadelphia. He appears regularly as a chamber musician in the Philadelphia area, and is a founding member of the Elysium String Quartet. Steven is currently a luthier’s apprentice at Wamsley Violins in Haddonfield, NJ under the tutelage of John Safian.
When did you start playing music, what brought you to it?
4th grade, approx age 10, looked fun
What other instruments, aside from the ones you teach, have you played before?
Played cello once, failed; also failed at piano
What advice could you give to someone who has just begun learning music?
Practice. Pay attention.
